Ris' Birchbox – August 2011

Kaye and I signed up for Birchbox back in April but we didn’t get our first one until May. I’ve been taking pictures of my box each month but just don’t get around to posting. As you can see, I’ve been trying to make it up in August, lol!

Birchbox is a great company/idea. For $10 each month you get a personalized, beautifully wrapped box that contains high-end samples of beauty products based on the profile you complete. So far, it’s opened our eyes to the wonderful Ahava Dead Sea Minerals Hand Cream that we both LOVE. They offer member points for every friend that you refer to sign up and by doing surveys of the samples you receive each month. Once you reach 100 pts, you can use it for $10 towards the purchase of any full sized product in their store.

I won’t go into the full list of samples I’ve received since May but a select few are: BVLGARI Mon Jasmin Noir and kate spade new york twirl fragrances, Jouer Luminizing Lip Tint, and a FULL SIZED Laura Geller Baked Blush-n-Brighten.

This month had the theme of “beauty innovations.”

Overall, I think it’s a great deal for $10 a month to get these high-end samples of beauty products that you may never have heard of or never wanted to try due to its price. I definitely look forward to my Birchbox…it’s like getting a present every month!
